Dear Valued Patrons,
With regards to food and beverage services at Tall Ships Landing Coastal Resort, Moishe Smith, Proprietor of Tall Ships Waterfront Grille and Tall Ships Landing (TSL) have agreed that the food and beverage services at the Resort should go in a different direction. Moishe thanks TSL for the opportunity to establish the initial food and beverage operation. TSL would like to acknowledge and thank Moishe Smith and his team for their confidence and efforts in operating the Tall Ships Waterfront Grille and Café this past year. We wish he and them well in their future endeavours.
To facilitate the changes, the Grille and Café will be temporarily closed until they reopen on May 14 and Victoria Day weekend respectively. Any events, currently booked through the Aquatarium, taking place during this time will be contacted to facilitate service without interruption.
Moving forward, the Resort is pleased to make the following announcements with respect to the Grille and Café:
We are pleased to announce the launch of the “South Coast Grille” at Tall Ships Landing on May 14.
o John Kavanagh, Proprietor
o Frédéric Rose, Cordon Bleu Chef Instructor – Cuisine
John and Frederic are passionate supporters of Tall Ships’ commitment to quality, in a casual but elegant atmosphere, with a style that evokes a strong sense of place and the romance of the Gilded Age. They are excited about building upon the local flavours and culture of the world famous Thousand Islands and developing a team of local talent to deliver a food and beverage experience at the Resort for the patrons of the Grille, members and guests of the TSL Club, residents of the Lookout and attendees at Aquatarium events.
Building upon the personal attention to detail and quality of service that The 1000 Islands Shoppe is known for, we are very fortunate that April Fraser will be extending the Dockside Living experience to include the Café. Good ingredients served up with love and attention to detail will no doubt add to the emerging lifestyle at Tall Ships. The expected date of opening is Victoria Day weekend.
We apologize for any inconvenience that these changes may present to you in the short term, and ask for your understanding and support while we are making these improvements to offer more extraordinary experiences on Canada’s South Coast at Tall Ships Landing. We invite you to leave your name and email with
The 1000 Islands Shoppe on level one or the TSL Club reception on level 3. Following which you will be contacted to arrange a reservation accompanied by a 10% discount.
