Prescott – The students at South Grenville District High School are hosting their 4th annual Relay For Life at the school this Thursday from 11:00am to 11:00pm.

This year’s theme is “Superheros” with the tagline”Up, up and relay!”.

The student-led fundraising event has set a goal of raising $20,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Past relays have raised close to $70,000 for the society.

Students are also being asked to use the hashtag #sgrelay when promoting the event on social media.

Relay For Life is an annual fundraiser where all members of the Leeds and Grenville community can join together in the fight against cancer. Relay is a fun and physically active event which engages the entire school and other members of the community for a party with a purpose! Whether you are cheering on survivors, walking the track, passing the baton to your teammate or joining in exciting track-side activities, Relay For Life is more than just a cancer walk; it’s a journey. Relay For Life is a huge help in supporting those affected by cancer and is an opportunity where we can all be somebody’s hero, even for just one day.
