Social Media reports of abandoned kitten

Brockville – The Brockville Police are aware of social media accounts of a young kitten being abandoned on Parkedale Ave near the police station; however has no record of the incident ever being reported to the police.

Posts on social media accounts which have been forwarded to Brockville Police social media accounts state the kitten abandoned from a car while driving on Parkedale Avenue. A vehicle following stopped and picked up the cat and reportedly brought it to a shelter to be cared for.

According to the posts, this vehicle has a dash camera video of the entire incident.

Officers would like to speak with the person or persons who rescued the kitten and have dash camera footage of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Brockville Police Service at 613-342- 0127 or submit a tip anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 222-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.tipsubmit.com and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.
