Smiths Falls – Police reports from the Smiths Falls Police Service from November 6 to 11, 2017.

Male arrested on outstanding arrest warrant:

On Monday November 6, 2017 at approximately 3:25 a.m. a 25 year old male suspect from Perth, Ontario, turned himself into the Smiths Falls Police Service on an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued stemming from a domestic related incident on October 17, 2017. The suspect is charged with uttering a threat and breaching his probation order. The suspect was arrested and held for a bail hearing to answer to these charges.

Male arrested on outstanding arrest warrant:

On Wednesday November 8, 2017 at approximately 4:31 p.m., police arrested a 21 year old Smiths Falls male on strength of an outstanding arrest warrant. The warrant was issued stemming from a November 2, 2017 incident in where the suspect breached his officer in charge release condition. The suspect was later released by way of a promise to appear in court and officer in charge undertaking to answer to this charge.

Police seek public’s assistance:

On Saturday November 11, 2017 at approximately 6 p.m. police received complaints that an unknown person(s) had thrown paint from the railway overpass on Queen Street, Smiths Falls, hitting two passing motorists causing damage to both vehicles. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding out who is responsible for this crime.
