Smiths Falls – Police reports from the Smiths Falls Police Service from July 10th to 21st, 2017.
Disturbance leads to charges:
On July 10 th 2017 Smiths Falls Police were called to a disturbance in the downtown core. A male subject was alleged to have struck the female during the argument.
A 35 yr old male from Perth was located by officers and charged accordingly with one count of assault. The male was held pending a bail hearing.
On July 10 th 2017 a Smiths Falls Police officer on patrol in the downtown area observed a male known to him to be wanted on an arrest warrant.
The officer took the 20 yr old Smiths Falls man into custody on the warrant on an original charge of Breach Of Probation. He was later released on a Promise to Appear and an Undertaking Given to an Officer in Charge.
Wanted Man Turns Himself In:
On July 17 th 2017 a 37 yr old Smiths Falls man, wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for Failing to Appear in Court turned himself in at Police Headquarters. He was later released on a Promise to Appear.
On July 21 st 2017 an officer on patrol in the downtown core located a male who was found to be wanted on an arrest warrant held by Lanark County OPP. The 22 yr old Smiths Falls man was arrested and later turned over to OPP officers.
