WINCHESTER – We all know that a big part of any party is the food. And The Red & White Gala – Celebrating Canada 150 and WDMH promises not to disappoint. The WDMH Foundation has teamed up with Traiteur La Bonne Bouffe caterers in Casselman to present a sea-to-sea, truly Canadian spread.
“We’re hosting a big birthday bash for Canada and we wanted to reflect that in the food,” explains Managing Director Kristen Casselman. “From right across the country, there will be something for everyone.”
During the cocktail hour, guests will enjoy different appetizers such as maritime fish and chip bites and Montreal smoked meat bagels. Then it’s on to the main course with a buffet that includes everything from wild west steaks to PEI potatoes with OKA cheese. There will be vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options too.
“And we can’t forget about dessert, complete with a beavertail station!” adds Kristen.
The gala is set for Saturday, June 3rd at the Winchester Community Centre. In addition to dinner and dancing, the evening will include live and silent auctions, a 50/50 contest, a photo booth, ‘panning for gold’, 150 trivia and much more. Proceeds from the event go to the WDMH Foundation’s Family Care Fund, supporting care for families just like yours.
