Maxville Celebrates 125th Anniversary Saturday!

Maxville – You won’t want to miss all the excitement we have lined up for tomorrow!

8 AM to 2 PM: Bring your loonies and toonies and find some treasures at the Maxville & District Chamber of Commerce’s Village Sidewalk Sale! Come hungry! Not only will there be treats to buy, but the North Glengarry Fire Dept – Maxville Station is hosting their BBQ! Proceeds to benefit the Maxville Recreation Association’s Canada Day Festivities!

2 PM: Past, Present, Future Parade – you won’t want to miss the celebratory parade! The parade will follow the same route as the Santa Claus Parade, starting at the Maxville Manor and finishing at the Maxville Fairgrounds.

3 PM: Fun for all ages! Old fashioned and interactive games for the kids – prizes for particpation!! Musical entertainment featuring Uncle George for the adults!
The Firemen’s BBQ will move down to the fairgrounds for anyone who missed them on Main Street!

6 PM: Pig Roast! For those of you lucky enough to scoop up some of the exclusive 600 tickets, the dinner starts at 6 PM *SHARP*! You won’t want to miss the presentations we have lined up, honouring Maxville’s Past, Present and Future! We’ll be also announcing the winners of the Caber Decorating Contest!!

7:30 PM: Have you got your entry secured in the Mini Caber Race yet? There’s still time!! The race starts as soon as the dinner is complete!
8 PM: Celtic band Fridge Full Of Empties will provide musical entertainment for the rest of the evening, pausing only for the….

~9:30 PM (Dusk): FIREWORKS!! This display will rival the display that will be put on for Canada Day!

ALL EVENTS ARE FREE OF CHARGE! Come one, come all and help Maxville celebrate it’s 125th anniversary!!
