Runs from November 30th to January 5th!
Brockville – The River of Lights Brockville will kick-off this Saturday, November 30th right after the Rotary Brockville Santa Claus Parade on Blockhouse Island.
Organized by a group of community leaders including the Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce, the DBIA, the City of Brockville and other tourism partners, the sound and light show spectacular on Blockhouse Island will run from November 30th until January 5th..
“Through this exceptional partnership, Blockhouse Island will be host to an annual event that will transform our waterfront and engage the community as well as attract visitors to our beautiful river City in the winter,” said Brockville Mayor Jason Baker. “On November 30th, we will throw the switch to light up the Island!”
“‘The River of Lights will be a dynamic light and sound show with over 35,000 dazzling holiday lights on the trees at Blockhouse Island,” said Pam Robertson, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. “Those who choose to walk around the island will hear a mix of traditional Christmas music and today’s hits, and those who instead drive the loop in their cars can simply tune their radio station to hear the music. But no matter how you do it, you will witness a spectacle of lights dancing to the music on the majestic trees on Blockhouse Island.”
