……………………..HEAT WARNING continues for our entire region for today. A period of hot weather continues. Daytime high temperatures in excess of 30 degrees Celsius, with humidex values in the high thirties to low forties, are expected. Overnight lows near 20 degrees Celsius are also expected through this period, providing little relief from the heat. A slightly cooler airmass may move into the area this weekend, however there is considerable uncertainty. A few areas towards eastern Ontario are likely to experience extreme heat and high humidex values on Saturday as well………………………………………………..

Rainfall warning in effect for Brockville, Leeds-Grenville & Kingston!

Significant rainfall is expected today.

Freezing rain will change to rain later this morning as temperatures rise above the freezing mark. Rainfall amounts of 25 to 40 mm are likely by this evening when the rain is expected to change to snow. Snowfall accumulations of 2 to 4 cm are possible which may lead to untreated roads becoming snow covered and slippery.

For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry District office.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
