Brockville – A Rainfall Warning continues for our entire region, with more rain on tap this evening.

Further rainfall amounts of 10 to 15 mm are expected this evening across Eastern Ontario before the rain finally starts to taper off to a few showers overnight.

This additional rain today is expected to bring total rainfall amounts to the 50 to 80 mm range by tonight.

With the ground already saturated, there is the potential for local flooding. For information concerning flooding please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry District office.

Please refer to the latest weather summary for total rainfall amounts observed from this moisture laden rainstorm.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Avoid driving through water on roads. Even shallow, fast-moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle or a person away. Don’t approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Consider moving valuable items to higher levels.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ec.cpio-tempetes-ospc-storms.ec@canada.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
