Brockville – The annual Pride Week is being held this week, July 10 -to July 15 in Brockville.
On Monday the Rainbow Flag was raised behind City Hall. Tuesday night it was Rainbow Games Night held at Stingers Indoor Paintball followed by DJ Carbonite at The BAR.
Tonight, Wednesday, July 12th is the Pride Potluck being held at the Brockville Public Library starting at 6:00pm with Guest Speaker Jeremy Dias from The Canadian Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity.
On Thursday night is the Pride Pub Crawl in Downtown Brockville starting at 8:00pm. Attend one or all the bars to receive a stamp on your Pride Passport. However if you attend all of the bars, you will receive a full passport. Those who hand in a full passport will be entered into a draw for a $50 prize.
Five pubs downtown are participating. Passports can be picked up prior to the crawl at the Brockville Public Library from 7:45-8:30pm on Thursday. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Friday night is the Miss Brockville Pride Competition being held at the Union Jack Pub starting at 8:00pm.
Saturday, July 15th starts out with the Breakfast in the Park on Courthouse Green from 8:00am to 10:30am. The breakfast is hosted by Wall Street United Church to celebrate LGBTQ pride before the parade.
At noon the annual Pride Parade leaves the Brockville Armouries and travels west on King Street to St. Paul, to Water Street finishing up at Hardy Park.
After the parade, the Pride Festival is being held at Hardy Park from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
The week of festivities wraps up on Saturday night with the Pride wrap up party being held at the BAR starting at 10:00pm.
