Polar Bear Plunge in Support of the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre Being Held Sunday

Brockville – A fundraiser for the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre, the ‘Polar Bear Plunge’ is being held this Sunday, April 22nd at Centeen Park in Brockville.

The annual event was postponed from January 1st due to extreme cold temperatures. It attracts thrill seekers and
animal lovers alike who help animals in need when they take the plunge into the invigorating St. Lawrence River.

Anyone who raises $150 in pledges will be entered in the draw to win a pet prize pack.

Registration and check-in begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Dive Brockville Adventure Centre on 12 Water St. E in Brockville. At 2 p.m. participants will make a splash in the St. Lawrence River from Centeen Park in downtown Brockville.

Chili and hot chocolate will follow to replenish calories that have been shivered off, and to reward Polar Bear Plungers for their courage.

(Please note that animals are not permitted to participate in this event.)
