OPP TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN AN ARREST

North Grenville – On December 31, 2019 members of Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling on County Road 43 in the township of North Grenville, Ontario. Officers seized a controlled substances suspected to be crystal meth.

As a result, a 33 year-old man of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance – Methamphetamine, contrary to CDSA section 4(1)
  • Driving while under suspension, contrary to HTA 53(1)
  • Drive Vehicle with cannabis readily available, contrary to Cannabis Act 12(1)

The accused was arrested and transported to the Grenville County detachment, released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on the January 31, 2020.
