Front of Yonge – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police put a stop to more stunt drivers in Leeds County.

On February 2, 2018 at about 11:30 P.M. Ontario Provincial Police officers while in Front of Yonge Township stopped a westbound car on Highway 401 driving 55 kilometres over the speed limit. As a result of the investigation, a 40 year old man from Saudi Arabia found his vehicle towed and impounded for 7 days.

About a half an hour later, in the same location, and with three OPP vehicles present, a second stunt driver was stopped driving 60 kilometres over the speed limit. A 35 year old Quebec man found his vehicle towed and impounded for 7 days. Further, his drivers’ licence was suspended after he registered an alert on a roadside test.

Both are scheduled to appear at Brockville Provincial Offences Court on February 28, 2018 to answer to their stunt driving charges.
