OPP: Charges Laid For Damage to Prescott Pride Crosswalk

Prescott – On June 17, 2019 the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of damage to the new Pride Crosswalk located on King Street, in the town of Prescott. At this location, a truck had been observed doing intentional burnouts on the painted area causing black marks and destroying some of the colour.

Investigation resulted with Robert SUGRUE aged 44 of Cardinal, Ontario being charged with;

Mischief – destroys or damages property contrary to section 430(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on August 16, 2019.
