Brockville – Join the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre for an evening of celebration as they recognize the community’s support over the past two decades with a 20th Anniversary Open House on December 7th.
The 20th Anniversary Open House will be held at the Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre, located at 800 Centennial Rd. in Brockville, on Thursday, Dec. 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Discover the centre’s history as you enjoy holiday music, savour wine and cheese, indulge in a piece of celebration cake and tour the centre to meet the animals currently up for adoption.
After an expansion in 1994, the Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre underwent significant renovations in 1997 thanks to a committee that worked tirelessly to update the building. One of the most notable updates was the creation of a multi-purpose room that continues to be used for humane education and community events.
The Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre provides animal welfare services and support to the community through sheltering and adoptions, humane education, pound services and re-uniting lost pets with their owners. It hosts various community events and fundraisers throughout the year to raise money to support the important work it does each and every day to help animals in need.
“We would like to thank our community for their continued support and invite them to celebrate with us,” says Marianne Carlyle, Manager, Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre. “We are proud of what our community, staff and volunteers have helped us accomplish over the years and we and look forward to many more years of life-saving work.”
