Prescott – The annual Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Ride Kingston and the Islands was held on Saturday in support of Special Olympics Ontario and made its annual stop for lunch at Fort Wellington in Prescott.

More than 100 motorcycles started out from Kingston Police Headquarters at 9:30am and travelled through the most scenic routes of Eastern Ontario through the Thousand Islands to Fort Wellington in Prescott where they had a charity BBQ lunch, events at the Fort and a chance to fire the cannons.

The barbecue was hosted by the Brockville and Area Special Olympics athletes and volunteers. The day fisnihed up back in Kingston witha wrap-up party.

The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Ride is a provincial fundraising motorcycle program directly benefiting over 23,000 Special Olympics Ontario athletes with an intellectual disability.
