Brockville – The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF), which represents secondary teachers and professional student service personnel within our board, gave notice that their members will hold a one-day strike on Friday, February 28 at some school boards across the province if progress is not made at the provincial bargaining table. The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) will be included in this one-day strike.
At this time, there will be no classes, planned activities, co-op placements, dual-credit programs, or extracurriculars for UCDSB students in Grades 9-12 on Friday, February 28.
As of right now, classes, activities and transportation will continue as normal for students in Kindergarten to Grade 8.
We will continue to communicate any additional labour-related updates or changes via email, the UCDSB website and social media.
