Brockville – The Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of the businesses, organizations and individuals who make a difference in our community.
We are pleased to announce the recipient of the 2017 Award of Excellence for Business Person of the Year, Michael Adamcryck.
Michael’s passion for business came to fruition when he left the corporate business world with a goal of mentoring and investing in the Brockville economy. His continued vision and success can be seen in the businesses he is imbedded in. Over the past year he has invested money, business skills and day-to-day operating time into multiple companies.
Often Michael will provide accounting services or management consulting as part of his investment. Close to one hundred jobs in the area were created, because of his efforts. His community involvement includes Regional Economic Development, Brockville YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of Kingston, 1000 Islands Swim Club, Homeward Bound, College of Ontario, Chair of the board at St. Lawrence College, Chair for the City of Brockville of the Economic Development Advisory, as well as being personally involved in Business Mentorship for Young Entrepreneurs, and team mentorship through the Small Business Enterprise Centre.
We look forward to celebrating the Business Person of the Year Award with Michael’s family and friends at the Awards of Excellence Gala being held on Thursday, November 9th at the Brockville Memorial Centre.
We will also be announcing the recipients for: Business of The Year, Small Business of The Year, Community Excellence Award, and the Tourism Award.
