Girls Inc. Eighth Annual Hockey Tournament is Fast Approaching

LEEDS AND GRENVILLE – The Eighth Annual TD Canada Trust Women’s Hockey Tournament for Girls Inc. is scheduled for Friday, March 31st – Sunday, April 2nd 2017 at the Brockville Memorial Civic Centre. This tournament offers a range of divisions, including recreational and competitive divisions and over 200 women playing hockey to support our empowering programs and workshops for local girls dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold.

In conjunction with this event, we are raffling off some fantastic prizes to be drawn at the tournament on Saturday April 1st. Prizes include a chair valued at over $500 and donated by The Brick, and 2 100-level Ottawa Senators tickets for October 2017 donated by Dr. Kim Hansen. Sponsors, prizes and volunteers are needed. Please contact Kelly at admin@uppercanada.girls-inc.org or (613) 345-3295 to sponsor, volunteer, donate, purchase or sell raffle tickets or for more information.

New this year, we are hosting a Vendor Fair from 11am-4pm Saturday April 1st featuring more than 15 local businesses – and we will be licensed and serving White Water Craft Brewery from 11am until 12 midnight. Back by popular demand we will have our Saturday Night social- open to the public with Brother Jukebox spinning some great tunes for dancing, fun, and games.

Come cheer on strong, smart, and bold women- bid on our silent auction items, check out the vendor fair, and stay for a bit to eat a tasty lunch and continue the fun Saturday night by dancing the evening away- all are welcome. There is no cost to come cheer, attend the vendor fair, or the Social- we always aim to be accessible. This event is an important fundraiser for Girls Incorporated of Upper Canada.

All proceeds stay in Leeds & Grenville, supporting local Girls Inc. programs. In 2016, we inspired over 1,300 girls with support from fundraisers such as this annual tournament.
