Brockville – This Wednesday, November 29th, please join the St. Lawrence – Rideau Immigration Partnership and the City of Brockville for Leeds & Grenville Diversity Day 2017!
This year’s theme is ‘Communicating Across Cultures’. Diversity Day is a free event open to all individuals and organizations including service providers, immigrants, community members, students, employers and faith-based groups. Lunch and snacks are provided. The event will be held from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Brockville Country Club, 1548 King St. West, Brockville, ON.
The event will feature local speakers sharing their experiences of communicating effectively with others despite differences in culture and language. A facilitator will then lead participants through a workshop aimed at defining culture, identifying personal biases and acquiring tools to help communicate effectively with people from around the world.
