Law Enforcement Torch Ride for Special Olympics Made Stop in Prescott on Saturday – VIDEO

Prescott – The Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police- Prescott Detachment participated in the Kingston and the Islands Law Enforcement Torch Ride for the Special Olympics on Saturday June 4th at Fort Wellington in Prescott.

The Motorcycle ride was open to anyone and began at the Kingston Police Station, with a stop at Fort Wellington in Prescott before riding back to Kingston through the 1000 Islands where there were more fund raising activities.

Two of the Brockville & Area Special Olympics Ontario athletes had a opportunity to fire a canon at the Fort as well on Saturday.

A fundraising BBQ for the Brockville and Area Special Olympians at Fort Wellington was also held between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, while raffle tickets were sold to fire a canon for participants.

The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Ride is a provincial fundraising motorcycle program directly benefiting over 18,000 Special Olympics Ontario athletes with an intellectual disability.
