LANARK COUNTY – Between Monday March 4, 2019 and Monday March 11, 2019 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 349 calls for service.

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Total:  21                 Including:

Car / Deer: 5

Parking Lots: 2

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 5

Impaired Drivers

On March 6, 2019 Lesley CONNOLLY, age 53, of Tay Valley Township was charged with Operation while impaired on Highway 7 in Drummond-North Elmsley Township following a traffic stop. CONNOLLY was released on a Promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 1, 2019.

On March 6, 2019 Nicholas MOULTON, age 22, of Lanark Highlands Township was charged with Operation while impaired following a collision on Highway 511 in Tay Valley Township. MOULTON was released on a Promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 15, 2019

On March 8, 2019 Mary MORNEAU, age 57, of Beckwith Township was charged with Operation while impaired on Ashton Station Road in Beckwith Township as the result of a traffic stop. MORNEAU was released on a Promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 15, 2019.

 Domestic Incidents

During the week of March 4, 2019 the Lanark County OPP investigated six domestic disputes

Thefts

On March 4, 2019 the Lanark County OPP was notified of the theft of an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and trailer from Loon Lane in Drummond-North Elmsley Township. The ATV and trailer were stolen while the owner was ice fishing.

On March 92019 the Lanark County OPP investigated a theft from a vehicle at the Beckwith Recreation Complex. A purse containing money and gift cards was stolen after the window of the vehicle was smashed.

Mischiefs

On March 4 and again on March 9 the Lanark County OPP received complaints of mailboxes being damaged in Tay Valley Township

Frauds

Ten (10) reports of fraud, including telephone and internet scams

Liquor Licence Act Charges

On March 4, 2019 a 63yr old male was arrested for being intoxicated in public in Carleton Place.

On March 10, 2019 a 30yr old female was arrested for being intoxicated in public in Perth.
