LANARK COUNTY – Between Monday March 18, 2019 and Monday March 25, 2019 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 372 calls for service.

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 6
On March 23, 2019 Travis LEESON, 29 years old, of Smiths Falls, was charged with operation while impaired following a traffic stop on Highway 7 in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. LEESON was released on a Promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 29, 2019
On March 22, 2019 a 44 year old Beckwith Township man was arrested and charged with one count of spousal assault and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Lanark County officers also investigated seven non-criminal domestic disputes.
On March 18, 2019 a shoplifting complaint in the Town of Perth led to the arrest of two males Jemal GUGBERIDZE, 26 years of age, and Malkhazi KHUTSISVHVILI, 32 years of age, both of North York, were each charged with one count of Theft under $5000. Both men were released on a Promise to appear and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 22, 2019
On March 21, 2019 a black and yellow dump trailer was stolen from a business on March Road outside of Almonte.
Lanark County officers investigated 11 other reports of thefts across the county
Lanark County OPP officers investigated two mischief incidents.
On March 21, 2019 Lorraine CUSSON, 50 years of age, of Perth was charged with eight counts of fraudulently obtaining food by false pretence. CUSSON was held for a bail hearing on March 22, 2019.
Officers investigated 11 other complaints of fraud.
