Lanark County OPP Detachment Weekly News for Week of March 11th – 18th, 2019

LANARK COUNTY – Between Monday March 11, 2019 and Monday March 18, 2019 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 363 calls for service.

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Total: 15                   Including:

Car / Deer: 2

Parking Lots: 0

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 4

Impaired Drivers

On March 11, 2019 Alexander KEON, 27 years old, of Ottawa, was charged with Operation while impaired as the result of a traffic stop on Highway 7 in Drummond-North Elmsley Township. KEON was released on a Promise to appear and he is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 1, 2019.

On March 16, 2019 Scot HALLADAY, 56 years old, of Chelmsford, was charged with Operation while impaired after being stopped at a RIDE program on Rideau Ferry Road in Drummond-North Elmsley Township. HALLADAY was released on a Promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 1, 2019

Domestic Incidents

On March 17, 2019 a 48 year old woman from Beckwith Township was charged with one count of spousal assault.

Thefts

On March 12, 2019 Richard HALLADAY, 59 years old, of South Elmsley Township was charged with Theft Under $5000 and Failing to comply with probation as the result of a shoplifting complaint in the Town of Perth. HALLADAY was released on a Promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 8, 2019.

On March 12, 2019 Kelly Anne DELORME, 33 years old, of Carleton Place was charged with Theft under $5000 as the result of a shoplifting complaint in the Town of Carleton Place. DELORME was released on an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 29, 2019

Officers of the Lanark County OPP also investigated 11 other reports of various thefts.

Mischiefs

Lanark County OPP officers investigated three mischief incidents.

Frauds

Officers investigated five fraud occurrences this week, including both online and phone scams

Liquor Licence Act Charges

On March 17, 2019 a 22 year old Carleton Place man was charged with having an open alcohol container in a vehicle
