LANARK COUNTY – Between Monday February 25, 2019 and Monday March 3, 2019 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 357 calls for service.

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 3
Motorized Snow Vehicle (MSV) Collision
On March 1, 2019 Officers from the Lanark County OPP and paramedics responded to a single MSV collision on Lavant Mill Road in the Township of Lanark Highlands. The 42 year old male driver of the snowmobile was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after hitting a tree.
On March 1, 2019 John WRIGHT, age 43, of the Township of Lanark Highlands was charged with Operation while impaired following a single motor vehicle collision on Wolf Grove Road in Lanark Highlands Township. WRIGHT was released on a Promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 18, 2019.
On February 27 the Town of Carleton Place OPP responded to a report of an altercation between a male and female on Allan Street. As a result of that investigation a 35 year old male from Cambleford, ON was charged with five (5) counts of spousal assault and three (3) counts of failing to comply with a recognizance. The male was held for a bail hearing on February 28 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth.
Thefts On February 28 Lanark County OPP responded to a shoplifter in custody on Dufferin Street in the Town of Perth. A 54 year old female was charged under the Trespass to Property Act.
On February 28 officers responded to a motel in the Town of Perth. An unidentified male had caused damage to furniture and then fled the scene.
Three occurrences involving attempted fraud over the internet
Liquor Licence Act Charges
On March 2 officers responded to a report of a fight between two males on Wilson Street in the Town of Perth. The subjects were located and a 23 year old Tay Valley Township resident was charged under the Liquor Licence Act
