This year will showcase fund raising dollars at work
BROCKVILLE — The Committee of the Island Breakfast on Refugee Island is pleased to announce advance tickets for the 2018 event go on sale this Friday (May 4) and visitors this year will see the early beginnings of fund raising dollars at work.
“This event has raised $35,000 since inception and now we can begin building the pavilion on the island, thanks to the tremendous support of sponsors and the community,” said Deb Hamilton, spokesperson for Island Breakfast.
Hamilton said gravel and a poured foundation will be completed this summer and construction will be ongoing as fund raising continues.
Advance tickets will be on sale at the Tourism Office at 10 Market Street West and are $12.00/adult, $10/seniors-students, and $30/Family of 4, $6/under 10.
The breakfast will run four (4) days this year starting Wednesday, June 20th through to Saturday, June 23rd. Boat shuttles from St. Lawrence Park begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m.
