Brockville – The Employment & Education Centre is pleased to announce it has received a $10,000.00 grant from the Carolyn Sifton Foundation. These funds will support the Homeward Bound Brockville Scholarship Fund.
Homeward Bound Brockville is an integrated, innovative wrap-around model of support to help mother-led families earn college diplomas, start careers and achieve economic self-sufficiency. Graeme Sifton, President states “The Foundation supports projects that assist people to develop to their fullest potential. I will be very interested to learn about the impact of education in these women’s lives.”
The EEC acknowledges the Carolyn Sifton Foundation. Program Manager Loretta Corbeil says “With the support of this generous donation we are able to fund education costs for outstanding scholarship candidates who are overcoming both financial and personal hardships.”
The program is funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
