Heat Warning Issued For Our Entire Region

Brockville – A Heat Warning has been issued for Brockville, Leeds-Grenville, Smiths Falls, Lanark, Morrisburg-Cornwall, Kingston & Ottawa.

A prolonged period of hot weather is expected. Timing: Friday through Saturday evening. The heat event may persist into Sunday.

Maximum temperatures Friday: 31 to 33 degrees Celsius (Humidex 38 to 40).
Maximum temperatures Saturday: 32 to 35 degrees Celsius (Humidex 38 to 40).

Minimum overnight temperatures: 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.

Locations: Portions of Eastern Ontario including Ottawa, Kingston, Smiths Falls, Napanee and Pembroke.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.

Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place.
