Tincap – The Friends of Mac Johnson Wildlife Area hosted its annual Fall Festival at the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area this past Saturday.
The outdoor party ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and featured several fun activities for every member of the family including learning to build a birdhouse, canoe and kayaking, and roasting marshmallows.
Visitors also enjoyed the blazing and breathtaking fall colours, the local waterfowl – including some trumpeter swans – and an ‘eyes-only’ fall leaves scavenger hunt. One of the highlights was the Mush Larose dogsledders who raced around the trails at Mac Johnson.
The Friends also had a barbecue lunch available at the Nature Centre, accompanied by live music.
