Gananoque – Police reports from the Gananoque Police Service from September 30, 2018.
On the 30 th of September 2018, officers of the Gananoque Police Service conducted a traffic stop of a male known to them to be a habitual suspended driver. During the traffic stop the male was again found to be suspended, the licence plates on the car were not attached to the proper vehicle, the validation sticker was expired, and he was found to have no insurance. As a result, the licence plates were seized and the vehicle was towed. The male received two Part 1 Provincial Offences Notices as well as two Part III Summons to appear in Court at a later date.
Breach of Probation:
On the 30 th of September 2018, the Gananoque Police responded to a youth group home to assist the staff with a problematic and aggressive 16-year-old youth. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the youth was breaching multiple conditions of his Probation and was subsequently charged and held for a bail hearing at the Brockville Youth Ontario Court of Justice.
On the 30 th of September 2018, police arrested two adult males found be in possession of heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. Both males were charged for possession of schedule I substances as well as breaches of probation and conditions of recognizance. Both males will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville at a later date.
