Gananoque – Police reports from the Gananoque Police Service from January 19th & 20th, 2018.
January 19, 2018:
The Gananoque Police received a complaint regarding a female having unwanted contact from her former partner. The investigation revealed that a 47-year- old Kingston man had made several attempts to communicate with the victim, despite that at the time of the complaint the man was on conditions not to have any contact with the victim.
As a result, the man was arrested by Kingston Police and turned over to the Gananoque Police. The male was charged with one count of failing to comply with a condition of his recognizance, and he was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
January 20, 2018:
In the late evening of January 20, 2018, the Gananoque Police received a complaint relating to a domestic incident. Police conducted an investigation and determined a 23-year- old Gananoque man had become upset with the victim and threatened her. Police were able to locate the man and he was arrested without incident.
The man was charged with one count of uttering threats to cause death and he was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
