Freezing Rain Warning Has Been Issued For Our Entire Region

Ottawa – Environment Canada has issued a Freezing Rain Warning for Brockville, Leeds-Grenville, Smiths Falls, Lanark, Morrisburg, Dundas, Ottawa and Kingston.

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

There have been numerous surface observations of freezing rain in the area including Kingston, Ottawa and Trenton. Current information suggests freezing rain could linger until late this morning before changing over to snow.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ec.cpio-tempetes-ospc-storms.ec@canada.ca or tweet reports to #ONStorm.
