Environment Canada has issued a Freezing Rain Warning for our entire region, with a ice storm possible late Sunday and continuing Monday.
Freezing rain is expected to develop late Sunday afternoon. The freezing rain may taper off briefly Sunday night but will redevelop early Monday and continue through the day. The freezing rain will finally transition to flurries or ice pellets Monday evening.
Ice accumulation of 5 to 10 mm is possible and power outages are expected. Travel conditions are expected to deteriorate Sunday afternoon and continue Monday.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Utility outages may occur.
