Fedorki donates to Palliative Care

Brockville – Fedorki Performance Systems donates local art to Brockville General Hospital as part of this year’s 30-Hour Palliative Care Telethon.

“Palliative care is a vital service in our community,” shared Terry Leeder, President and owner of Fedorki Performance Systems, a local industrial contractor. “This donation is one way which we can give back to the program and Hospital.” Leeder purchased the artwork as part of this year’s annual 30-Hour Telethon auction.

Nineteen area artists collaborated on the Canada 150 Project to highlight Canada’s sesquicentennial. Rachel Legault, lead artist for the work, stated that, “It was a very enriching experience for us all to be able to give back to our community in our own little way!”

Following the successful bid on the artwork, Leeder offered to donate to BGH, where it currently hangs at the Charles Street site cafeteria.

“I couldn’t be happier with this outcome,” shared Wayne Blackwell, who sits as Chair on the Telethon committee. “Fedorki and BGH both agreed that this incredible piece of art should remain at BGH where it can be enjoyed by the general public. Thank you to Fedorki and these talented artists for their generous donation to Palliative Care!”

About the Canada 150 Project
In anticipation of this year’s Telethon, members from the Brockville Artists’ Studio donated a sizeable collage, which sits at 5×4′ and is weighs approximately 35 lbs, includes 20 smaller, unique paintings. The piece celebrates Canada’s 150th anniversary, through depicting scenes from across Leeds Grenville.
The art is on display in BGH’s Charles Street site cafeteria.
