Brockville – The Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of the businesses, organizations and individuals who make a difference in our community.
We are pleased to announce the recipient of the 2017 Award of Excellence for Citizen of the Year, Doris Hallett.
Doris works (and has for many years), tirelessly on many different fundraising committees from Palliative Care, Brockville Hospital Foundation, to many Rotary events. She is quiet and works behind the scenes to help ensure successful events and fundraisers with little or no recognition. Doris is a wife, mother of 2 and grandmother of 4.
Doris lives by the “Service Beyond Self” mantra that represents one of the four way test filters of Rotary International. The execution of service projects and committee/board representation encompasses practically all segments of community being healthcare, recreational, social welfare, youth, seniors and spiritual outreach.
We look forward to celebrating Citizen of the Year, with Doris Hallett’s family and friends at the Awards of Excellence Gala being held on Thursday, November 9th at the Brockville Memorial Centre. We will also be announcing the recipients for: Business of The Year, Small Business of The Year, Community Excellence Award, and the Tourism Award.
Seating is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance at the Chamber office.
The Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce represents more than 400 members and has been the community’s business advocate since 1906. Our mission is through proactive leadership in advocacy and networking, we support and grow business to build a strong economic community.
