All proceeds from the bar and BBQ will be designated to CPHC.

“Being from Athens and working for a charity, I always thought a great fundraiser would be, an old time country event in a little farm town.” says CPHC’s Fundraising Developer Crystal Sled.  “I knew right away that I had to ask Craig Curtis; he is an Athens hometown boy and everybody loves hearing Craig sing. Then I kept hearing about this Jordy Jackson who is a local boy from the Westport/Jones’ Falls area with lots of talent.  Angie Halladay is also an Athens/Delta girl; the first time I heard her sing, we were sitting around a campfire and I thought, boy can she sing. My co-worker, Joy Edgeley and her husband Ron are also known as great country singers and given that Joy works for CPHC, it was a perfect fit to ask them to perform.”

“We are just ecstatic to be hosting a new event like this in one of our rural communities”, says Rose Nichol, Executive Director for CPHC. “We have such talented performers and I am absolutely amazed by this town.  The individuals and groups such as the Lions Club and Fire Dept. that have stepped right in to help CPHC, is unbelievable. I’m very confident that Country in the Park will be a huge success for CPHC!”
