Calling all Men who care about the Women and Girls in their Lives!

Brockville – Leeds-Grenville Interval House (LGIH) is excited to be holding our 1st Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes® fundraising event to raise funds and awareness for the elimination of violence against women.

Walk A Mile In Her Shoes® combines big hearts with big feet as men and their supporters walk down King Street, Brockville in women’s shoes, raising money and awareness to support violence prevention programs in this community. 100% of funds raised will support Leeds & Grenville Interval House, our local Shelter and Services for abused women and their children.

We are asking men of all ages to participate in this march by registering a team of walkers, becoming an event sponsor or donating to the event, and promoting the march among your networks; help us to recruit walkers as individuals or teams by challenging your friends, families & colleagues to join you. Help us to fill King Street East for this event by showing your support for this worthy cause.

Please see the enclosed Information package for more information. As part of our event, there will also be an opening rally, a closing celebration, and some live entertainment compliments of Aislinn McAlister-Barlow, Amanda Keeley, and Dan Shaafsma, as well as a few other surprises as well!

Event Details: ~ Saturday May 27th ~ During the First Sidewalk Sale of the Season!

Time- Registration opens at 10 a.m.; Opening rally will start at 11:00 a.m.; the march begins at 11:30 * arrive early for best selection of shoe sizes!

Location- In front of The New Oak Tree, near Garden St. & King St. East.

*Red high-heeled shoes (men’s sizes 8-14) are available at the event while supplies last.
