Brockville’s Big River Festival Begins This Weekend

Brockville – Brockville’s Big River Festival is set to begin this weekend with Canine Watersports’ Canadian Dock Jumping Championships in Hardy Park and wrapping up a week later with the Red Hot & Blue Rockabilly Weekend and Brockville Tall Ships® Festival presented by Procter & Gamble.

The Big River Festival runs from Friday August 23rd to Sunday, September 1st in Downtown Brockville. It is a celebration of the waterfront community with events happening at all of the waterfront attractions and throughout the city’s parks.

The Festival will be a celebration of life in the 1000 Islands on the mighty St. Lawrence River and all the attributes of living in a river city.

Some of the events scheduled during the week long festival will include:

August 23rd to 25th:

Brockville Beachfest
Sunday Concerts in the Park

August 26th:
WPBS TV Screening: “Great Lakes Now” + Starry Night @ Aquatarium

August 27th:
Big River Night on Blockhouse Island

August 28th:
Live Music at the Waterfront
Ghost Story Tour

August 29th:
Brockville Movies in the Park
Aquatarium After Dark with Yuk Yuks
Big River Festival Island Sunset Cruise

August 30th:
River Jousting

August 30th to September 1st:
Red Hot & Blue Rockabilly Weekend
Brockville Tall Ships® Festival presented by Procter & Gamble

August 31st & September 1st:
Shootout Fishing League – Solo Series

September 1st:
SNOlympiad: Summer Snowball Throwing Competition
