Brockville – The 31st annual Automotion, Brockville’s Waterfront Car Show hosted by the 1000 Islands Street Machine Association is being held this Sunday, August 6th in Downtown Brockville.
This year they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Camaro.
It runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Armagh Sifton Price Park and Blockhouse Iasland. Admission is $5 for spectators with chilfren 12 and under admitted free with an adult.
There will be close to 500 vehicles spread across Blockhouse Island, Armagh Sifton-Price Park, the Water Street Parking lot and Market Street West. The annual event sees over 4,000 spectators take in one of the largest car shows in our region.
There will also be live music by River City Junction from 1:00pm and 3:00pm on stage. The trophy presentations should begin roughly around 3:30pm.
On Saturday evening, August 5th prior to the car show the 1000 Islands Street Machine Association is hosting their annual poker run to kick off the car show.
Vehicles assemble at Canadian Tire, in Brockville to show off their vehicles and the starting point of the poker run. The run will finish up at Boston Pizza in Brockville.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the United Way of Leeds & Grenville.
