Kingston – The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority is hosting a fall tree planting session, in partnership with TD Canada Trust, at the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area, and are seeking volunteers to help in this important project as they hope to plant 150 trees.

On Saturday, Sept. 30, join CRCA staff, TD employees and the Friends of the Mac Johnson Wildlife area at 9 a.m. at the Nature Centre before heading off to the area where trees are to be planted. Volunteers are reminded to bring a shovel, work gloves and their energy. They should also dress appropriate to the weather conditions. For more information, and to register, visit www.tdtreedays.com and search for Mac Johnson Wildlife Area under the ‘events’ tab.

To get to the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area, take Highway 29 north from Brockville to Tincap, turn east on Debruge Road and drive for two kilometres to the main entrance.
