Due to the success of the last trip, Connect Youth Inc, in partnership with the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), have planned a second trip to the Stingers After School Program in Brockville, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. The return transportation, activities, and snacks will be provided at no cost. This trip coincides with the National Police Week and there promise to be numerous special events planned at Stingers for that afternoon. The Tuesday Stingers after school program is run by the Brockville Police, Stingers, and community volunteers. The activities include Laser Tag, Zorb Ball, Basketball and Dodgeball.
The bus trip is open to youth between the grades of 7 -12. The bus will depart at from the South Grenville District High School (SGDHS), at 2:30 pm and depart Stingers at 5:30 pm, returning students to the parking lot of SGDHS. You do not have to be a student of SGDHS to attend, but students must sign up with the Connect Youth Office, located at SGDHS, or phone 613-918-0176 for further information. Students are required to submit a permission form to be filled out by a parent.
Connect Youth staff will supervise students on the bus and OPP Constable Suzanne Runciman will meet with and assist in the activities at Stingers.
This is a great activity for area youth, at no cost. It’s an opportunity for youth to make friends, have fun and burn some energy.
Space is limited and early registration is encouraged.
