Brockville – The Kawartha Credit Union (Brockville Branch) presented a very generous $5,000 cheque to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation (BDHF) in support of the BHDF’s 11th Annual Heart & Solstice Event that is taking place on Thursday, June 20th, 2019. With this donation, the Kawartha Credit Union is honouring its corporate commitment to support the local community.
All funds raised at the Heart and Solstice event supports Brockville General Hospital’s Cardiac Rehab Program. The Cardiac Rehab Program has annual costs totaling $181,000 and does not receive government funding. Through the generosity of donors and local community fundraisers; such as the Heart and Solstice, allow the Cardiac Rehab Program to continue supporting patients in Leeds and Grenville. Without this program, at Brockville General Hospital, patients would have to travel to Kingston, or Ottawa, for their rehabilitation; which would provide added stress to an already stressful time!
This year, the event will be taking place at the beautiful waterfront home of John and Catherine Macdonald (1473 County Road 2, West – Elizabethtown), and will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Tickets are $100.00 each and can be purchased at the Kawartha Credit Union at 2011 Parkedale Ave, Brockville.
