Brockville – The 1000 Islands and Rideau Canal Garden Trail has added Fulford Place National Historic Site’s Olmsted Gardens in Brockville to its garden line-up this year.
It was announced at a launch of the garden trail’s third year at Fulford Place in Brockville on Friday morning.
The garden trail links private and public gardens and garden centre displays through-out Leeds & Grenville.
The Fulford Place Olmsted Gardens was originally designed by renowed lansscape architect Frederick Olmstead. The Italianate-style gardens include an elaborate triton fountain and statuary with stone walls and gates surrounding the 20,000 square-foot mansion.
The Leeds & Grenville Economic Development Office launched the trail in 2015 with 9 gardens that has now grown to 14 unique gardens.
