CRCA ISSUES A WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT – FLOOD OUTLOOK FOR BUELLS/BUTLERS CREEK AND DETENTION BASIN IN BROCKVILLE

KINGSTON – The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA) has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement – Flood Outlook today for Buells/Butlers Creek and the detention basin in Brockville.

Operations continue to be performed to minimize the effects of recent and expected rainfall and to move water through the system.

Residents should be aware that flooding of low-lying areas associated with Buells/Butlers Creek is possible with the expected rain overnight and tomorrow, and are urged to stay away from the detention basin and the Buells/Butlers Creek due to high water levels and flows.

CRCA staff will continue to monitor conditions, forecasts, and update statements as needed.

Widespread flooding is NOT expected as a result of current conditions.

This Watershed Conditions Statement will remain in effect until Monday, May 8, 2017.
