Comedy Night Fundraiser for Making Play Possible being held April 5th, 2018

Brockville – Local charity, Making Play Possible is hosting a comedy night fundraiser on April 5th at Keystorm Pub in downtown Brockville at 6:30pm. This event will raise funds to help ensure that all children and youth in Leeds-Grenville can have a chance to participate in recreation, regardless of the barriers they may face. By giving families a chance to access recreation programs, our community is helping to raise kids who will grow up physically and mentally strong.

Making Play Possible serves 500 vulnerable children per year who may otherwise be unable to participate in recreational activities in their communities. Participation in recreation has significant and lasting benefits for children and youth, including improved self-esteem, social skills, creativity, academic performance, stress management, physical health, motor skills, motivation to learn, and family relationships.

The comedy night fundraiser will feature three Canadian comedians, Todd VanAllen, Ryan Dennee and Dave Hudson. All three have extensive resumes in comedy, film and advertising. Todd Van Allen is a Toronto-based comedian that has performed in comedy clubs and festivals around the world as well as several CBC television shows. Ryan Dennee has performed at five Canadian Festivals and in several television commercials. He has also performed for the Canadian Military nearly two dozen times at eight bases across Canada. Dave Hudson from Kingston, Ontario has appeared in a huge number of plays, films, ads, audio plays and music videos. Making Play Possible is thrilled to welcome all three comedians to the fundraiser on April 5th. It is sure to be a fun night for an important cause.
