To commemorate Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation, Brockville & 1000 Islands Tourism would like to help local residents and community groups spread the word about their upcoming Canada 150 events.
Working with a volunteer committee of municipal partners including the City of Brockville, DBIA, Brockville Museum and Brockville Public Library, we aim to show how “Brockville Loves Canada 150” in our year-long campaign to celebrate our community and Canadian heritage.
In order to make 2017 a year to remember, we invite you to take your existing event and put your own Canada 150 spin on it. Give it a red & white theme, serve traditional Canadian food, bring in speakers to talk about the history and culture of our area, or create your own, unique flair.
If you have a great event planned for this year, we need to hear from you! Tell us about your event and how you will tie it into Canada 150 celebrations and we will help spread the word.
We have added the event tag “Canada 150” to our online events calendar at brockvilletourism.com to make it easier to search for your events, and we will be creating and distributing a printed community calendar of local Canada 150 events and programs taking place throughout the year.
Contact us to tell us about your event at Brockville & 1000 Islands Tourism, 613-342-4357 or firstname.lastname@example.org
To keep you up to date year round, www.brockvilletourism.com/canada150 will be the place to go to read up on new events, stories, contests, promotions and ways for you to celebrate within our community.
