In the 48 hour period from March 13th 0500 to March 15th 0500 hours the Brockville Police Service responded to 71 calls for service that included 5 arrests, 2 break and enter calls,  2 mental health apprehensions and  6 motor vehicle collisions.

Counterfeit Money:

There have been several incidents of counterfeit US $100 bills being passed at local shops.  We are asking local retailers to be vigilante and consider not accepting the US bills.  If there are any concerns or suspicions to contact our service so that a suspect can be identified.

Impaired:

On March 14th at 8:33 p.m. a vehicle was observed operating on King Street without any driving lights on.  The vehicle was stopped a short distance later.  The driver of the vehicle had an odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. A roadside demand was made for a sample of his breath into an approved screening device.  The driver failed that screening and was brought to the Brockville Police Service where two samples of his breath were obtained.  The driver registered a reading of more than double the legal limit.  He was arrested and charged with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood and impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

On March 15th at 1:12 a.m. officers on routine patrol observed a 37 year old male urinating on the side of a business on Stewart Blvd.  The male was identified and found to be in possession of a small quantity of cocaine.  The male was charged for being in possession of a controlled substance and charged under the city by-law for urinating in public.
