Brockville – A new corporate services arrangement between Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health (LLGAMH) and Brockville General Hospital (BGH) will support the
best care for people living with addictions and mental health issues.
As of April 1, 2020, BGH will be providing back-office services to LLGAMH, including human resources, payroll, financial services, and information technology. At a meeting on February 20th, BGH’s Board of Directors approved a motion to support this plan.
“We look forward to working more closely with the BGH team,” notes Eric Hanna, LLGAMH Supervisor.
“Aligning with a strong and robust corporate services provider enables our care teams to focus on delivering the best care to patients and clients. And having reliable and efficient administrative support is important to ensure an accurate picture of the finances of the organization, along with adopting best practices in human resources.” Mr. Hanna was appointed Supervisor in late January 2020. He is working with the LLGAMH leadership team to develop a sustainable financial and governance plan for the organization.
“LLGAMH is one of our largest community partners. Providing a local solution to LLGAMH’s back-office services makes sense,” shared Nick Vlacholias, President and CEO at BGH. “The success of LLGAMH impacts our organization. Strong community-based programing provides care within in the community and keeps people out of our Emergency Department and Inpatient Mental Health program.”
LLGAMH and BGH provide care for many of the same people within our community. The long-standing relationship between these two healthcare organizations has been built on a coordinated approach to caring for people living with addictions and mental health issues.
