Brockville Leeds Grenville Thousand Islands Shimmy Mob Team INVITES YOU to participate in a fundraising event on World Belly Dance Day in support of our local shelter.  Raise your voice in the battle against domestic violence. It is time to take a stand. Together we can make a difference!

We perform a routine that is EASY & FUN to learn and can be adapted for beginners. There is NO NEED FOR EXPERIENCE. This is a community event run on a global level to promote awareness, raise funds for victims of abuse and promote belly dance world wide.  This year’s choreography was created by Gina Nolan.
Gina is an award winning Oriental dance instructor, choreographer, and performer based in Pensacola, Florida.

On World Belly Dance Day, and year-round, we commit to showing our support for victims of domestic violence. Funds raised locally benefit Leeds & Grenville Interval House our local shelter. Last year Brockville Leeds Grenville Thousand Islands Shimmy Mob raised just over $1200. This will be our 5th year participating; to date we have raised over $6500 total.

Shimmy Mob has been breaking records since 2011 and aims to do so again! Last year 202 cities and over 2400 dancers worldwide joined in the battle against domestic violence and raised over one quarter of a million dollars!

Instructors and studios offering rehearsals and sponsoring Shimmy Mob and World Belly Dance Day events will benefit from free promotion on the Shimmy Mob website and other promotional efforts. We invite everyone to take part in supporting victims of abuse.

Join us for a great cause and be a part of dance history on Saturday, May 13th, 2017!
